Silk Ribbon
100% Japanese silk ribbon is soft and supple. It drapes and gathers beautifully which is why it is the most appropriate ribbon to use for both hand and machine embroidery. It is commonly available in 2, 4 and 7mm widths which we currently carry. 13mm and 32mm sizes are also available but are not as widely used. We do intend to carry some ribbon in these two sizes but at this time we are in the process of choosing colors and packaging. They will most definitely be a future item as they make the most beautiful pansies and large petal flowers.
Other uses for silk ribbon include, weaving, crafts, doll clothing, miniatures, knitting, smocking, ribbon rosettes, needlepoint, cross-stitch and garment embellishment.
