Hi All,
Welcome to my Blog. Isn’t that the strangest word? Do we even know what it means? Seems to me that one day it was just there – a noun, a verb, a social activity, something that you should be part of just because you exist. “What do you mean, you don’t blog”! Now there’s an embarrasing question, I guess. Or, it seems like it should be. It feels kind of like I missed brushing after lunch and I have been caught with poppy seeds stuck in my teeth. “What do you mean, you didn’t brush”! Actually, I currently believe more people blog than brush. So, welcome to my first blog.
It’s a beautiful day here in Denver, CO. Sunny, mid 70’s. I get a kick out of how most people think it is always so cold here. For the most part it is usually quite pleasant here in the winter. I can’t say the same for the mountains which is where the snow is. From Denver you can look up into the mountains to see the snow which is just fine with me.
Anyway, I am planning to escape from my livingroom where I view this lovely day and descend to my sewing studio on the lower level (classy word for basement). There I will join my lovely BERNINA 730E and together we will begin designing one of many ribbon embellished projects needed for display in my vendor booth.
That brings to mind - take a look at my calendar. See if there’s a chance I might be coming your way. My next show will be in Pueblo CO – Quilt and Stitch Expo of Pueblo – April 3 & 4. Stop by my booth and say “Howdy”.
Oh, one more thing, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! to my special sewing buddy Jill McCloy.
Did you know who I am? This is my name in Chinese! Julie said that blog stands for web log. So you know what it means. And so do I!

Good one Girl Friend!
Glad to see you in the blogosphere!
I got my goodies yesterday and have to go out and get some silk ribbon.. hum… NOW! Grin! I love the blue-bead-topped sewing poker! (ok, what is its official name?) Thank you!
My computer anxiously sent reply. Maybe it just deleted the response. Sorry.
The sewing poker is called a “Princess Sceptor” (too small to be a Queen’s Sceptor) It is used to manipulate of push the ribbon to the needle in preparation to be stitched down. When damaged, it can be repaired with an emory board.
OH…Happy Birthday Jill!! I didn’t know I was in such good company :O)
Glad to see your blog. It will be nice keeping up with all of your fabulous projects! It is time for me to get back to my own…Thread painting today.
Best Wishes!
It is so cool that you live here in CO. I always enjoy your classes so much. How did you like our blizzard yesterday? Just love your stuff.
All I can say is that I am glad I didn’t have to go anywhere. My Honey and I took a snow day, huddled in and caught up on our saved DVR programs.
Great site this http://www.victorianventure.com and I am really pleased to see you have what I am actually looking for here and this this post is exactly what I am interested in. I shall be pleased to become a regular visitor
